Stian Stensrud Normann

Structural Engineering Lead

STIAN STENSRUD NORMANN

During his studies, he built a solid foundation in building mechanics, while taking complementary courses in adjoining disciplines, giving him valuable insight and advantage in multi-disciplinary collaborations.
In his work, he continuously strives to convey the simple elegance of structural visibility in architecture, in a modern building industry where spatial flexibility and architectural efficiency often take precedence.

NTNU – Norwegian University of Science and Technology | M.Sc. in Structural Engineering

Developed a thorough understanding in the theoretical behavior of and the solving of mechanical equations in static structures. Pursued a specialization in the design of steel and concrete structures and wrote a master's thesis on the intricate responses of hollowed out, slender steel beams in bending, utilizing the finite element method. Concurrently, completed a minor degree in architecture and building physics.

AFRY AS – ÅF & Pöyry | Structural Engineer

Has worked for three years as a structural engineer, with a wide range of projects. Had a leading role in structural design, 3D modelling and composition of work drawings for two high-rise building projects. Been involved in a series of refurbishment projects for industrial and urban clients.

Juanjuan Xing

Design Lead

JUANJUAN XING

She studied Civil Engineering at the National University of Singapore, where her interest in space led her to explore architecture alongside technical studies. She then joined the Department of Architecture at the University of Tokyo as a research student, before entering professional practice in Japan. There, she worked on projects ranging from educational to commercial buildings, including the 42-storey City Tower Musashi-Koyama, gaining formative experience with scale, density, and urban complexity.

She later earned a Master's in Architectural Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, developing a sensitivity to materiality, craft, and the subtle ways architecture can shape spatial experience.

Now based in Milan, her work spans cultural institutions, workplaces, urban strategies, residential developments, and private dwellings. For her, architecture is the act of finding the most appropriate solution for each context—precise in its logic, yet quietly expressive.
Daria Tavrova

Architectural Designer

DARIA TAVROVA

She studied architecture in Milan and Saint Petersburg. Her primary professional focus has been the study and practical application of architectural concept design across projects of various scales.
Throughout her professional experience, she has contributed to the design development of hotel complexes, premium-class apartment buildings and residential complexes. She has also gained experience in providing architectural supervision as part of a project team.
